FINANCIAL RESOURCES

Happiness and sorrows are the results of planetary influences in our birth charts, which are based on our deeds (Karma) of past lives. The planetary influences in our birth charts are not based on the will of God. The strong planets in the birth chart represent our good karma and righteous conduct of past lives. They bless us with success in the matters of health, education, profession, finances, happiness in relationships and spiritual progress. The weak and afflicted planets represent our inappropriate karma and they cause setbacks, delays, denials, instability, depression and make us vulnerable to problems/challenges due to natal or transit afflictions.

So, astrology believes that karmic results arise through the principles of divine justice based on our karma of past lives. Astral remedies are the means for alleviating these karmic results.   

The divine knowledge of astrology unfolds the future, reduces tensions, anxiety and enables one to move in the right direction.  It helps people to make decisions in the face of uncertainties. It deals with all aspects of human life. The Systems' Approach predictive techniques give dependable indications in life pertaining to the future events, right from birth.  The preventive astrological remedial measures, at the same time, help blessed ones by reducing the impact of unfavorable planetary influences and harnessing the significations ruled by functional benefic planets.

Financial resources are an important part as they influence all other aspects of life. Astrology, the ancient wisdom, helps us in understanding the potentialities and weaknesses in our lives enabling us to charter the course of success in our life in matters of health, education, career, finances, relationships, etc. 

The study of financial resources is seen through the houses, planets and planetary periods. The study of mundane astrology through the impact of country, time and environment becomes relevant. The contributions of houses are studied through their lords and the planetary influences on the houses. Depending upon the planetary influences a person decides how to generate financial resources. It can be by taking up a job, adopting practice as a professional, working as a self-employed person, working as a researcher or innovator, entering into a trading business, venturing as an industrialist,  going for an agency business, starting an IT project, entering into the field of financial services including lending money or trading in stocks and shares, etc. The study of environment is made through the prevalent economic activity.

In all types of undertakings for generating and enhancing financial resources, we come into contact with other people. These may be employers, employees, colleagues, government agencies, business associates, customers, students, consumers, etc. We have to understand and manage the relationships for success.

A strong lord of the first house, depending upon the planet, gives good finances through positive personality traits, initiative, drive and performance.  The planets Sun, Moon and Mars indicate executive posts with the State or Government or commanding position in other walks of life. The planets Mercury and Venus indicate financial gains through business ventures including trading.  Saturn generally involves one in manufacturing industries or production units.  Jupiter engages one as a professional adviser in the fields of law, finance, astrology or as a practicing lawyer or a Chartered Accountant, if the planet Mercury is supportive and strong in the chart. The lord of the second house containing a mooltrikona sign gives financial gains through status, investments and family wealth.  Similarly, the lord of the third house indicates financial gains through the fields of communications, marketing, leadership, publications and through entrepreneurial activities. The lord of the fourth house indicates gains through business in the fields of items of luxury including properties, vehicles, hotel management and education. The lord of the fifth house gives financial gains through investments, work in teaching, training and development organizations, research organizations, etc.  The lord of the sixth house when not afflicting any other natal planetary position or the most effective point of the house gives financial gains through legal, financial and medical professions.  The lord of the seventh house indicates gains through partnership business, the items of luxury, working in foreign lands, import-export and trading. The lord of the eighth house, without causing any affliction, when strong, gives gains through inheritance, winning in the games of chances and through the draw of lots. The lord of the ninth house blesses with financial gains through parental wealth and status, working in religious/spiritual organizations and working with export-import organizations.  The lord of the tenth house gives executive status with the State or in business, in cases where the concerned planets are strong.  The lord of the eleventh house gives income, gains through elder brothers, friends and through the signification of the houses where the lord of the eleventh house is placed.  The strong and unafflicting lord of the twelfth house gives financial gains in foreign lands and through the business of luxury items.

If the significator planets are weak, even if they take the person to the business/profession/service indicated by these planets, or the significations of a particular house, the results would be average and will cause financial strains. Weak planets, when afflicted by the functional malefic planets, cause severe financial strains.

So, we can see that good financial gains are bestowed by the planets ruling affluence.  These are the Sun, the Moon, Venus, Jupiter, Mars and Mercury.  The participative houses are the eleventh, tenth, second, first, third, fifth and eighth.  If these houses contain a mooltrikona sign and the affluent lords of these houses are strong, they bless good financial gains on the native.  The lord of the eleventh house gives gains/income through the significations of the house in which it is placed.   The strong lord of the second house gives financial gains through the family and through high official status. The strong lord of the first house gives financial gains through initiative and drive. The strong and unafflicted lord of the fifth house gives gains through intellectual pursuits, teaching, speculation and investments.  The strong lord of the third house gives financial gains through the fields of communications, publications, business enterprises and creative work.  The strong lord of the tenth house gives gains through the profession indicated by the planet/house concerned.  The strong lord of the eighth house gives financial gains through inheritance, the draw of lots, games of chance and manipulative deals.

The planets bestow their results during their operational periods when they are strong and also unafflicted in their transit.
