Significations of Houses

First House: Represents the person, his/her innate nature and state of health, vitality, longevity, happiness, personality, appearance, prosperity, eminence, entrepreneurial qualities and general disposition in life. The performance of personality through sports, acting, expert, advisor, 

leadership, etc. These help the person in earning and creating wealth through performance of the body, speech and body language.  The weakness of the first house and/or afflictions to the first house or its lord result in a sickly constitution resulting in reducing the capabilities of the person to work to his/her full potential. The setbacks to health of the person disables him to manage and enhance his/her financial resources. A strong Sun and Mars, as significators for vitality and energy respectively, help as a protective cover in matters of health and status.

Second House: Represents education, family wealth, possession of precious stones and metals, money in cash, earning capacity, financial status, fortune, prosperity, speech and movable properties. A strong second house gives professional pursuits which make use of voice/speech. A strong second house can make the person a lecturer, a government officer a singer, an actor, a spiritual discourse person, etc. It bestows awards, recognition, gifts, rewards, etc.

The weakness of the second house and/or afflictions to the second house or its lord cause vulnerabilities for disorders of speech. It also causes problems in professional and relationship matters. A strong Mercury, as a significator for speech, helps as a protective cover.

Third House: Represents courage, physical strength, energy, sports, learning, comprehension, initiative, business ventures, marketing of ideas, writing, publishing, innovation, vitality, entrepreneurial nature, the power of understanding, fast grasping power, fast decision making, oratory skills, leadership traits, vision, innovative minds, communication and expression of thoughts. This is a very important house and not only its strength makes the person multi-talented but also it brings a lot of recognition for the person. It creates business magnets, marketers, innovators, authors and leaders. During the course of life such a person generates a lot of financial resources. The weakness of the third house and/or afflictions to the third house or its lord cause setbacks in professional ventures. A strong Mercury, as a significator for communicative capability, helps as a protective cover.

Fourth House: The fourth house rules parental wealth including buildings, agricultural land, vehicles and good public relations. A strong fourth house brings financial wealth for the person through assets, public relations and working in the fields of healing and hospitality. The weakness of the fourth house and/or afflictions to the fourth house or its lord cause setbacks to parents and the assets of the person. Fifth House: The fifth house rules intellect, talents, memory, creative intelligence, gains through teaching, speculation, investments and brilliance in academics. A strong fifth house brings financial resources through application of professional knowledge in the field of research and teaching. The influence of Rahu on this house brings the tendencies of high risk orientation, gambling, speculation and the person lacks concentration of knowledge pursuits.

Sixth House: The sixth house represents political gains through leadership of

In other words, health, financial position and the position with reference to the opponents is identified through this house. Seventh House: The seventh house represents financial gains through long term business relationships, legal ties, partners in business, success in foreign lands, travel, trade, international trading and expansion. Eighth House: The 8th house brings wealth for the person through inheritance, wills and testaments, insurances, easy gains, practice of mystical knowledge, government allotments, legacies, royalties, etc. The inheritance can come from parents, spouse and relations. One can get favors from government and highly placed persons. One can also gain through allotment of resources by government through the draw of lots.

Eleventh House: The eleventh house represents financial gains through working in partnership with elder co-borns and friends, gains through friends, professional, etc. The weakness of the eleventh house and/or afflictions to the eleventh house or its lord cause problems regarding income, friends and sources of support. A strong Saturn, as a significator for easy sources of income, helps as a protective cover.

Twelfth House: The twelfth house when strong represents gains through foreign lands. The weakness of the twelfth house and/or afflictions to the twelfth house or its lord result in unforeseen expenses, losses, expenditures for charity, imprisonment and problems in foreign lands. A strong Moon, as a significator for immunization power and mental peace, and a strong Venus, as a significator for happy marital relationships and comforts, help as a protective cover.
